Jacks Point Lake House

The Jack’s Point vision was to ensure the architecture was subservient to the intense, arresting landscape. A design synonymic with its setting was ultimately achieved, owning partly to the overall low profile of the form of the home, and partly to the restricted pallet of materials used.

Stone, cedar, steel and glass feature throughout the interior and exterior of the home. The long layout of the house lies harmoniously along the topography of the site and enables all the rooms to enjoy spectacular lake views, a noted feature of the area. Large overhangs increase the shadow lines of the house, rendering more depth to the façade, and allowing for greater protection from the sun.
